Chiropractic physician

Dr. Jeff Norman

When you love what you do, it shows. After 20 years, Dr. Norman’s passion for helping patients has not wavered. He understands that chiropractic care is more than just spinal adjustments—It’s about identifying the problem, creating a personalized treatment plan, and preventing any reoccurrence. And as a team, we bring valuable skills and incredible passion to help the wellbeing of our patients.

What to expect for your first time

At Peterson Wellness we strive to make your first experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We keep it simple with out 3 step process:

01

X-Ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.

02

Individualized Care

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will be provided with an individualized care plan designed to help them reach their specific goals. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapeutics, soft tissue therapies, etc. as well as things to do at home to speed up the healing process and prevent future problems. This approach helps us put the patient in the “driver seat” regarding their own health.

03

Wellness Care

Similar to the importance of having regular teeth cleanings with the dentist to prevent tooth decay, it is important that patients get regular “tune ups” at our office to protect and maintain that good health they worked so hard to achieve. Everyone is different in their wellness care needs. We help our patients figure out their specific needs to stay healthy and active for years to come.

Adjustment techniques

Dr. Norman uses multiple techniques to suit for your specific needs.
Below are a few popular techniques that he uses.

Diversified

The diversified technique is characterized by a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust. It is considered the most common chiropractic manipulative technique and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction.

Extremity

Extremity manipulation can be used on all other joints outside of the spine. It is beneficial to restore the mobility of the extremity joints thus creating less stress on the spinal column.

Activator Methods

This technique uses a hand held instrument to correct any spinal misalignment. It also involves analyzing the legs and how this affects the hips and the rest of the spine. This is a very gentle technique and great for pediatric patients and patients with chronic conditions like arthritis.

Gonstead

This method was developed in 1923 and since been used to treat a variety of conditions. This is the most recognizable form of manipulation. It can address misalignment and fixations in all parts of the spine and uses different levels of pressure.
